2025 Hyundai Tucson Gets Styling Update, New Tech

The affordable compact SUV class is extremely competitive. The 2024 Hyundai Tucson currently sits sixth in our list of the best affordable compact SUVs, and we can’t find a lot wrong with it. The competition is just that fierce. Our list of cons about the 2024 model has just one entry: wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available on just a few trims.

Guess what’s changing for 2025?

Hyundai will make both phone projection systems, in their wireless forms, standard on every 2025 Tucson.

That’s not the only thing Hyundai will update. The Tucson gets a fresh face for 2025. Its signature chunky grille grows chunkier. Eight larger individual daytime running lights replace the 10 found on the 2024 model. The automaker also introduces new wheel designs and slightly reshapes both bumpers for the new model year.

The interior of the 2025 Hyundai Tucson

Inside, both the driver’s instrument screen and the central touchscreen now sit together in a single mount, looking like one wide screen surface. But Hyundai has also listened to those of us who prefer buttons and knobs. The company explains, “A redesigned center stack includes the addition of supplementary knobs and switchgear for frequent-use controls including audio volume and tuning, along with revamped HVAC controls for greatly improved ergonomics.”

A new Baby Mode smooths out acceleration to avoid waking a tiny passenger.

The Tucson will continue into 2025 with a long list of powertrain options. Hyundai will build it with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, a hybrid setup, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain that can travel up to 33 miles on electricity before using gas.
