Recall Alert: Land Rover Range Rover Sport

JLR (the company formerly known as Jaguar Land Rover) has issued a second recall for 22,268 Range Rover Sport SUVs from model years 2018 through 2022 because their backup cameras can fail. The recall covers only vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Camera System.

A faulty seal can allow water into the camera system, preventing it from displaying an image.

These vehicles were already repaired as part of an earlier recall, but JLR has determined that the repair process was performed incorrectly on some cars.

To fix the problem, dealers will remove the rearview camera and inspect it. If it has a proper seal, they’ll simply reinstall it. If technicians find improper seal, they’ll replace the seal, and if necessary, the entire camera.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.
