Jeep Reveals Texas-Only Gladiator Special Edition

Texas is America’s largest truck market. Texans buy enough trucks that automakers sometimes build unique Texas editions unavailable in other states.

Jeep is the latest to sign on to that trend, offering the 2024 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail Edition. Starting at $49,985 (including $1,995 destination and handling), it sits squarely in the middle of the Gladiator lineup.

The Texas Trail Edition comes with all the equipment from the Sport S trim but gets 32-inch mud tires in place of the all-season shoes on the Sport S. They combine with “the Jeep Command-Trac 4×4 part-time, two-speed transfer case with a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio, enhance the Gladiator Texas Trail’s off-road capability,” the company says.

A body-color hardtop is standard, along with steel rock rails, body-color fender flares, black Mckinley-trimmed seats, and black exterior accents.

But what makes it a Texas model are the Texas Trail hood decals and “1836” emblazoned on the tailgate – a nod to the year Texas declared its independence from Mexico.

The truck is available in black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, Firecracker Red, High Velocity, and Anvil, and only in the Lone Star State.
