2025 BMW M2 Gets Power Bump, New Colors

The 2024 BMW M2 wasn’t exactly underpowered. But BMW has seen fit to give its smallest M car a power bump for 2025 anyway.

The 2024 M2 got 458 horsepower from its 3.0-liter turbo inline 6-cylinder engine. For 2025, the wizards of Munich have boosted that figure to 473.

M cars are well-known for providing peak power across a wide rev band. With the standard 6-speed manual transmission, BMW says, “peak torque remains 406 lb-ft between 2,650 and 6,130 rpm. When power is channeled via the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic, a no-cost option, the figure rises to 443 lb-ft between 2,700 and 5,620 rpm.”

The car’s exterior changes little, but BMW will offer more colors in 2025. New options include Java Green metallic, Voodoo Blue, Grigio Telesto Pearl Effect metallic, Twilight Purple Pearl Effect metallic, Sao Paulo Yellow, Vegas Red metallic, Portimao Blue metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Frozen Pure Grey metallic, and Frozen Portimao Blue II metallic.

Inside, a new flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in leather or grippy Alcantara faux-suede is offered. The track-ready M Carbon bucket seats, stiff but lightweight, are now a standalone option. More adjustable air vents should help keep passengers cool.

2025 BMW M2 Pricing

The changes come with a price increase. The 2025 M2 will start at $66,075, including a mandatory $1,175 delivery fee. The 2024 model starts at $64,195. For 2025 the delivery fee increases from $995 for the first time in several years, though BMW’s delivery fee is still lower than what many domestic automakers charge to ship a car from the U.S. Production of the 2025 BMW M2 will begin in August.
