2024 Hyundai Santa Fe – New Look Means Big Price Jump

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a candidate for biggest makeover of the 2024 model year. But the new look comes with a major price adjustment.

The 2023 Santa Fe – still available on some dealer lots – was our 2-row Midsize SUV Best Buy Award winner for 2023. In fact, that was the fourth straight year it earned the award. We love its solid fuel economy, good driving dynamics, and premium feel inside and out. We love its 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

But few people loved its looks – inoffensive but unremarkable.

That changes for 2024, as it takes on a rugged, boxy appearance cribbed from Land Rover’s lookbook more than Hyundai’s. Most of the powertrain that won plaudits last year carries over. But the Santa Fe’s aesthetics have changed drastically.

It’s larger inside, too, and now comes standard with 3-row seating. At early press events showing off the vehicle, Hyundai executives touted the fact that the second- and third-row seats fold flat enough to make comfortable sleeping space for two as if the Santa Fe were an RV.

But the changes come with price increases. Many trim levels see increases of $4,000 or more from the 2023 version. Models with the standard 2.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine are arriving on dealer lots now. Hybrid models are set to follow this spring.
